Hey I’m Alanna (she/her)! I have interests in invasive species ecology, behavioral ecology, and GIS applications in ecology. I am originally from Long Island, NY and received a B.S. in Biology from SUNY Geneseo. I worked as an assistant horticultural inspector for the NYS Dept of Agriculture and Markets and also have experience working with sea turtles and shore birds on Long Island in North Carolina. I received my M.S. in Biodiversity, Conservation, and Policy and a Graduate Certificate in GIS and Spatial Analysis from SUNY Albany. When I am not studying invasive species, I enjoy traveling, boxing/martial arts, drawing, and spending time with my cat Aurora. I am a big Harry Potter fan (I’m a Ravenclaw!) and enjoy watching and reading other fantasy series.
